Crown Point, Mission Bay

Registration opens on International Epilepsy Awareness Day, 12pm, Tuesday, February 14, 2023.

Register for $40 through March 31, 2026! Join us for a day filled with movement, music, sunshine, and big smiles as we show up loud and proud for our loved ones with epilepsy, as well as the 1 in 26 people who will develop epilepsy in their lifetime. Register as an individual or create a team, invite friends and family to join you, and help fundraise to support epilepsy care, education, and connection in our community. Because when San Diego shows up, no one faces epilepsy alone.

Partnership Opportunities now available! Help provide funding for programming and services that the Epilepsy Foundation of San Diego County offers free of charge to the more than 50,000 people in San Diego County affected by epilepsy as well as their families, friends and caregivers.

Hosted by EFSDC in San Diego each Spring, Sharon’s Ride.Run.Walk. is our annual outdoor community event that brings our community together to get active, educate, spread awareness and make a difference for the people we love who live with epilepsy. These nationwide events are dedicated to the memory of Sharon Rosenfeld, a nurse and teacher who cared deeply about epilepsy and advocated for helmet safety.

When the average cost of care for a person living with epilepsy in the U.S. is now estimated to be as high as $31,000/year, each person who participates and fundraises for Sharon’s Ride.Run.Walk. helps us continue to offer monthly support groups, school nurse trainings, seizure first aid trainings, neurologist referrals and more at no cost to families and individuals in San Diego impacted by epilepsy.

“We are grateful. We are grateful for our family, our friends and our faith which have all helped us on this journey,” shared Kathryn Sievert, EFSDC community member, parent of a child with epilepsy and captain of Team Micah, a group that has consistently participated in Sharon’s Ride.Run.Walk. in San Diego. “Some days have been better than others. Some days Micah still has seizures. But we walk. We walk for awareness and education. We walk because we will always fight. We will always make sure he knows he is more than his diagnosis. He is our superhero!”

Your support is essential in helping us meet our $70,000 fundraising goal for Sharon’s Ride.Run.Walk. Please register today!
