Launched in 2025, Creativity & Connection is a joyful, in-person gathering offered once a month to provide community members with an opportunity to build friendships, share experiences, and celebrate connections with others who understand what it means to be impacted with epilepsy.
Living with epilepsy—or being a loved one of someone who is—can sometimes feel isolating. Together, we can strengthen our community and remind one another that no one faces epilepsy alone.
Each Creativity & Connection is free to attend, but RSVP is required.

As a new school year begins, students will create their own personalized emotional toolkit filled with practical coping strategies, helpful resources, and meaningful reminders to support their well-being, manage stress, build resilience, and boost confidence throughout the school year.
Whether they’re navigating a new school, new friendships, or everyday challenges, participants will leave with tools they can use whenever they need a little extra encouragement and support.

Epilepsy Foundation of San Diego County is proud to present Under the Lights, an award-winning film that tells the powerful story of Sam, a teenager living with epilepsy who is determined to experience prom like everyone else—even knowing the flashing lights could trigger a seizure.
Written and directed by award-winning filmmaker, writer, and public speaker Miles Levin, who lives with epilepsy, the film offers an authentic and heartfelt look at the challenges, resilience, and determination of young people navigating life with epilepsy.
Following the screening, stay for a live conversation and audience Q&A with Miles Levin as he shares the inspiration behind the film, his personal journey, and the importance of reducing stigma and increasing understanding of epilepsy.
Whether you’re living with epilepsy, supporting a loved one, or simply want to learn more, this is an opportunity to connect, learn, and be inspired through the power of storytelling.
