EFSDC offers scholarships in
July of each academic year. The awards include the
$2000 Michael Zapoticzny Memorial Scholarship plus
additional scholarships ranging from $250-$1000.
Eligibility:
Two categories of eligibility are
available:
- A student being treated for epilepsy
who is or will be enrolled in a college, university
or trade school in the Fall of the academic year.
The student must show satisfactory academic performance
and demonstrated financial need.
- Any full-time college or university
student involved in an epilepsy research project
in the fields of health or social science who has
a GPA of at least 3.0 for all work completed. Demonstrated
financial need is required.
Applicants must have a permanent residence
in San Diego or Imperial Counties, however, they may
be enrolled in a school outside San Diego County.
Applicants do not have to be currently
enrolled in school to apply, however, they must show
proof of enrollment to receive a scholarship award.
Applications are available directly
from the Epilepsy Foundation of San Diego County (619-296-0161)
after February 1st.
Deadline: Applications must
be submitted to the Epilepsy Foundation by June 1st
