Event Description:
A spectacular holiday gala for charity featuring “celebrity” chefs, spectacular,
complimentary champagnes and wines, holiday music, exciting auctions, and a nationally
recognized gingerbread structure competition that showcases creations by San Diego’s
leading chefs, artists, and designers.
Demographic:
Over 300 of San Diego’s leaders in business, society, and medicine will attend the
Gingerbread City 2005 gala. Thousands of local, national, and international admirers
flock to see the exquisite gingerbread structures (with presenting sponsor placards)
which remain on display.
Gingerbread Structures:
Will remain on display through the holidays in the lobby of the elegant Westgate
Hotel and will also be display for two days in the Mingei International Museum, during
“December Nights” where 200,000 people will view the exhibit.

unprecedented 7 days of television news coverage on seven different stations. This

exposure of this event as it has become a premier event of the holiday season in San Diego.
